Day 3: Pía Glacier – Porter Glacier

The Australis had an internal internet where the day’s schedule and activities are posted. Below is Day 3’s activities.

The dark is silt from the mountains above.
Weather was amazing for the whole time on the ship. We would bundle up for the zodiac ride but often it was warm enough on shore that heavy jackets came off – or in Rich’s case all jackets.
Back on the ship. The small speck behind us is a zodiac which gives some feeling for the size of the glacier.
